Here, let me help you. (The woman realizes he isn't blind, grabs the bag, hits him over the head with it, and hurries away.) Okay, Okay, I'm not really blind, but I used to be. Old habits die hard, you know. (addressing the audience) She thinks I'm crazy, but up until recently, I was blind. Couldn't see a blessed thing, and what's more, I had been that way my whole life. You don't think I'm crazy too, do you? Let me tell you how it happened. I was begging for money as I did every day--what else could I do?--when some men came along, (enter men) and one of them spoke to the other saying... Disciple: Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind? Blind Man: Well, I was about to offer my opinion on the subject when someone replied... Jesus: Neither this man nor his parents sinned. This happened so that God's glory would be displayed. Blind Man: The next thing I knew I felt something cold and wet like mud on my eyes. Jesus: Go wash in the pool of Siloam. (Jesus and disciples leave) Blind Man: I thought, what kind of a joke is this to play on a poor blind man, but I did what he said because, well, I HAD MUD ON MY FACE! ...... Back to Home
